How it works
- A long-acting injection from my care team.
- Monthly, every 6 weeks, or every 2 months.
- Never given sooner than 14 days after the last one.
If I miss an appointment
- Call my clinic right away. Do not wait.
- They may give the Initio starter shot again to catch up.
- Fairview can help if cost or a ride is the problem.
Tell the doctor if
- New urges to gamble, shop, eat, or sexual urges.
- These are a side effect, not my fault. Worth reporting.
- New movements I cannot control.
Also tell the doctor if
- Signs of higher blood sugar, or weight gain.
- Dizzy or faint when I stand up.
Emergency. Go to the ER
- High fever, stiff muscles, sweating, and confusion.
- Fast or irregular heartbeat, or fainting.
- Fever with sore throat and mouth sores.
