Schedule a 15 minute caregiver call with Dr. MikeThe Reality of Caregiving
You didn't sign up to be a pharmacy coordinator. But you became one.
If any of these sound familiar, you're not alone. They're the universal pain points of managing medications for an aging parent. Each one has a solution.
- Six different prescriptions, six different refill dates, six different pharmacies.
- A pillbox the parent forgets to fill on Sundays.
- Refills running out at the worst times, always on a holiday weekend.
- Insurance and Medicare Part D paperwork that no one explains.
- Calls to the chain pharmacy that end with a 20 minute hold.
- The growing worry that they took today's pills, or didn't, and can't remember which.

What Fairview Provides
Six things that make caregiving measurably easier.
Medication synchronization
All refills aligned to one day each month. One trip, one pickup, one delivery, one conversation. No more juggling six different refill cycles.

Multi dose blister packs sorted by day and dose. Monday morning is in the Monday morning slot. The guesswork ends. The pillbox stops being a daily worry.
Caregiver text alerts
You receive a text when the medication ships, when it arrives, when refills are due, and when authorizations need renewal. You don't have to be at the pharmacy to know what's happening.
Free delivery
Free to your parent's address, or to yours. Same day in Hattiesburg, Petal, Oak Grove, West Hattiesburg. Scheduled routes for Pine Belt counties.
MTM consultation
Medication Therapy Management is a billable consultation that reviews every medication your parent is on for interactions, redundancy, side effects, and cost optimization. Covered by Medicare Part D plans.
Pharmacist on call
When something changes, when there's a side effect question, when a new prescription gets added, Dr. Mike or one of our pharmacists picks up the phone. You don't navigate a queue.
“The hardest part of caring for a parent isn't loving them. It's the administrative load. Refill dates, insurance authorizations, drug interactions, side effect questions you don't know who to ask. We carry that part for you. You focus on being their child. We handle the pharmacy.”

Caregiver Questions
Things caregivers ask before they switch.
How is adherence packaging different from a pillbox?
A pillbox requires someone to refill it correctly every week. Adherence packaging is assembled by the pharmacy. Each day's doses come in sealed, labeled compartments printed with the date and time. Your parent (or you, or a home health aide) just opens the right pouch for that morning, evening, or whatever the schedule is. No counting, no second guessing, no running out.
Will my parent's doctor approve adherence packaging?
Yes. We coordinate with prescribers directly. Most physicians strongly support adherence packaging for patients on 5+ medications because it improves compliance, which is one of the leading clinical concerns in older adults. If your parent's physician has specific instructions about timing or fasting requirements, those go on the package label.
Can vitamins and OTC supplements go in the adherence pack?
Yes. Once we know what your parent takes, we can include vitamins, supplements, and OTC medications in the same daily packets as their prescriptions. One pouch, everything for that morning or evening. Many caregivers tell us this is the moment compliance actually improves.
What does adherence packaging cost?
For patients on 5 or more chronic medications, adherence packaging is included at no charge with prescription transfer. For patients on fewer medications, contact us for pricing. Hub City Family Plan members get adherence packaging included regardless of medication count.
Can you bill Medicare for the MTM consultation?
Yes. MTM is a Medicare Part D benefit for eligible patients (typically those on 4 or more chronic medications or with specific chronic conditions). The consultation is covered by your parent's plan with no out of pocket cost in most cases. We file the billing on your parent's behalf.
What if my parent's medication changes mid month?
We handle it. New prescription? We absorb it into the next adherence pack and update the schedule. Discontinued medication? We pull it from the upcoming pack. Dose change? We update the labeling immediately. You get a text whenever the schedule changes.
Can I be a caregiver on multiple parents' accounts?
Yes. We can list you as the caregiver of record on as many family members as needed. You'll receive separate text threads for each parent so the alerts don't get tangled.
What about HIPAA? Will you discuss my parent's medications with me?
With your parent's written authorization, we can discuss their medications, refill schedule, and clinical questions with you as the designated caregiver. We use a standard HIPAA release form. Your parent signs it once and we keep it on file. If your parent has guardianship arrangements or has lost capacity, we work with the legal designee.
You take care of them. We'll take care of the pharmacy.
One conversation, one transfer, and the medication side of caregiving gets dramatically simpler.
