Taking it right
- One tablet, once a day, same time each day.
- Swallow it whole. Do not crush, chew, or break it.
- With or without food.
If I miss a dose
- Same day: take it when I remember.
- Almost time for the next one: skip it.
- Missed more than a week: call my doctor before restarting.
Tell the doctor or pharmacist
- Every new medicine and supplement.
- Any liver condition. This medicine is not for liver disease.
- Go easy on alcohol, it adds to drowsiness.
Call the doctor if
- Heavy drowsiness, or new stiffness or tremor.
- Restlessness that bothers me.
- If I have Huntington's: any new low mood.
Emergency
- High fever, stiff muscles, sweating, and confusion.
- If I have Huntington's and have thoughts of self-harm:
- call or text 988.
Good to remember
- The dose is built up slowly. That is normal.
- Cost help exists. Call Fairview before skipping a dose.
