Taking it right
- One pill, once a day, same time each day.
- With or without food.
- For treatment: I also take my other HIV medicine.
If I miss a dose
- Same day: take it when I remember.
- Next day already: skip it, take my normal dose.
- Never two in one day.
If I take it as PrEP
- HIV test before starting, then about every 3 months.
- Daily doses keep my protection strong.
- Missed doses lower protection. Call Fairview.
Tell the pharmacist
- Every medicine and supplement.
- No St. John's Wort. Careful with frequent pain relievers.
Call the doctor if
- Less urine, or swelling in legs or ankles.
- Muscle weakness or bone pain.
- Lasting nausea or unusual tiredness.
Good to remember
- If I have hepatitis B, never stop on my own.
- Cost help exists. Call Fairview before skipping a dose.
