Is duloxetine only for depression?
- No. It also treats anxiety and certain nerve, muscle or long-lasting pain conditions. Ask which treatment goal applies to you.
Can I open or crush the capsule?
- Do not crush or chew the delayed-release medicine. Most capsules should stay whole; a specific sprinkle product has different instructions. Check your exact product before opening it.
Can I stop when I feel better?
- Talk to your prescriber first. Sudden stopping can cause withdrawal symptoms; you may need a gradual reduction.
When should I expect a benefit?
- Improvement may take several weeks. Follow your prescribed schedule, with or without food, and keep follow-up appointments. Nausea, dry mouth, sweating and sexual side effects can occur; discuss bothersome symptoms before changing treatment. MedlinePlus
What if I miss a dose?

Which symptoms need attention?

What should my pharmacist check?
- Mention liver or kidney disease, substantial alcohol use, bipolar history and all medicines.
