Taking it right
- One capsule, once a day, same time each day.
- With or without food.
- Sprinkle form: onto soft food, not milk or water, taken right away.
If I miss a dose
- Same day: take it when I remember.
- Almost time for the next one: skip it.
- Stopped more than a week: call my doctor before restarting.
Tell the pharmacist
- Every new medicine and supplement.
- Go easy on alcohol, it adds to sleepiness.
Call the doctor if
- Heavy sleepiness, or feeling unsteady.
- New stiffness, slowness, or tremor.
- If I have Huntington's: any new low mood.
Emergency. Go to the ER
- Swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat.
- High fever, stiff muscles, sweating, and confusion.
- Huntington's and thoughts of self-harm: call or text 988.
Good to remember
- Most patients pay very little. Cost help is strong.
- Call Fairview before skipping a dose.
