How it works
- One injection, about once a month.
- Given by my care team, not at home.
- The first two starter doses are about a week apart.
If I miss an appointment
- Call my clinic right away. Do not just wait.
- What they do depends on how long it has been.
- Fairview can help if cost or a ride is the problem.
Tell every provider
- I get Invega Sustenna injections.
- Check new medicines and supplements with the pharmacist.
- Go easy on alcohol, it adds to drowsiness.
Call the doctor if
- Very thirsty, urinating a lot, very hungry.
- Dizzy or faint when I stand up.
- New movements I cannot control.
Emergency. Go to the ER
- High fever, stiff muscles, sweating, and confusion.
- Fast or irregular heartbeat, or fainting.
- Fever with sore throat and mouth sores.
