When should I take it?
- Usually once daily, with or without food, following your product's label.
Is Claritin-D just another loratadine brand?
- No. It combines loratadine with pseudoephedrine, a decongestant that has additional precautions.
Will taking more work better?
- Do not exceed the label or add another antihistamine without professional advice. Ask for help if symptoms remain troublesome.
What if I miss a dose?
- For scheduled use, take it when remembered unless the next is nearly due; then skip it. Never double. MedlinePlus
What should I check on the package?
- Match the form and age directions: liquids, chewables and dissolving tablets have different handling instructions. Ask first with kidney/liver disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you have PKU, check ingredients because some dissolving products contain phenylalanine. Headache or drowsiness can occur. MedlinePlus
Why does the decongestant matter?
- Pseudoephedrine may cause nervousness or trouble sleeping and needs extra checks with high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma or trouble urinating. Do not choose a “D” product just because the box looks familiar. MedlinePlus pseudoephedrine
When should I get urgent help?
