Taking it right
- Taken in cycles: dosing days, then a break.
- Same time each day on dosing days.
- Swallow capsules whole. Do not open or break them.
If I miss a dose
- Less than about 12 hours late: take it.
- More than 12 hours late: skip it, take the next on schedule.
- Never two at once.
Safety program
- I follow my REMS steps before each fill.
- Each fill is a 28 day supply, by law.
- I never donate blood, and never share this medicine.
Call my cancer team if
- Fever, chills, sore throat, or cough.
- Unusual bruising or bleeding.
- A swollen, painful leg.
Emergency. Go to the ER
- Sudden chest pain or trouble breathing.
- One-sided weakness, trouble speaking, severe headache.
- A widespread rash, or blistering, peeling skin.
Good to remember
- My blood thinner protects me from clots. Take as directed.
- Cost help exists. Call Fairview before skipping a dose.
