Taking it right
- One shot, once a week, same day each week.
- Belly, thigh, or upper arm. New spot each week.
- Any time of day, with or without food.
If I miss a dose
- Next dose 3 or more days away: take it now.
- Next dose less than 3 days away: skip it.
- Never two doses within 3 days.
Storing my pens
- Keep in the refrigerator. Do not freeze.
- Room temperature is okay for up to 14 days.
- Keep in the original box, away from light.
Normal at first
- Some nausea or stomach upset.
- Less appetite, feeling full sooner.
- Usually eases after the first few weeks.
Call the doctor if
- Bad stomach pain, especially spreading to the back.
- Cannot keep fluids down, or barely urinating.
- Neck lump, trouble swallowing, lasting hoarse voice.
Emergency. Go to the ER
- Swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat.
- Trouble breathing.
- Severe low blood sugar I cannot treat.
