Taking it right
- Injection: once a week, same day, with or without food.
- Tablet: every morning, empty stomach, plain water only.
- Rotate injection sites: belly, thigh, or upper arm.
If I miss a dose
- Injection: next dose more than 48 hours away, take it now.
- Injection: next dose less than 48 hours away, skip it.
- Tablet: skip it, take the next one tomorrow. Never double up.
Protect my body
- Drink enough fluids and eat enough protein.
- Keep up strength activity my clinician approves.
- Call if I cannot keep fluids down.
Call the doctor if
- Neck lump, lasting hoarseness, or trouble swallowing.
- Repeated vomiting, dizziness, or very little urine.
- Upper belly pain, fever, yellow skin, or clay-colored stools.
Emergency. Go to the ER
- Severe steady belly pain that may travel to the back.
- Trouble breathing or swelling of the face or throat.
- Severe dehydration or cannot keep fluids down.
Before surgery or anesthesia
- Tell every procedure team I use Wegovy.
- Tell them the form I use and my last dose time.
- Follow their plan. Do not stop or restart on my own.
