Taking it right
- Once a week, same day each week.
- Any time of day, with or without food.
- Rotate injection sites: belly, thigh, or upper arm.
If I miss a dose
- Within 4 days: take it when I remember.
- More than 4 days: skip it, take the next on my usual day.
- Never 2 doses within 72 hours.
Birth control rule
- Pills may be less reliable after starting and after each dose increase.
- Use a non-oral method or add a barrier method for 4 weeks each time.
Call the doctor if
- Neck lump, lasting hoarseness, or trouble swallowing.
- Repeated vomiting, dizziness, or very little urine.
- Upper belly pain, fever, yellow skin, or clay-colored stools.
Emergency. Go to the ER
- Severe steady belly pain that may travel to the back.
- Trouble breathing or swelling of the face or throat.
- Severe dehydration or cannot keep fluids down.
Before surgery or anesthesia
- Tell every procedure team I use Zepbound.
- Tell them the date of my last dose.
- Follow their plan. Do not stop or restart on my own.
