The real story behind this product

What chain pharmacies never explain.

Your immune system does its most productive work while you sleep. Cytokine production, the cellular soldiers of your immune response, peaks during deep sleep stages. A body that can't sleep because of coughing, congestion, and aches is a body fighting the cold at half-strength.

NyQuil solves this with a deliberate addition that DayQuil omits: doxylamine succinate, a sedating antihistamine that quiets cough, dries post-nasal drip, and induces sleep within 30 minutes. Combined with acetaminophen for fever and aches, and dextromethorphan for cough suppression, it creates the ideal nighttime cold recovery environment.

This is why the Day/Night cold protocol works so well. And why Dr. Mike recommends it to virtually every patient with a full cold.

Dr. Mike's clinical commentary
Your body heals during sleep. NyQuil's job is to let that happen. The doxylamine in NyQuil is actually one of the most effective sedating antihistamines available. It's also sold as a standalone sleep aid under names like Unisom. When you combine that with cough suppression and fever reduction, you get genuine restorative sleep during the hardest nights of a cold. Take it at bedtime. Not an hour before you need to drive somewhere, not with alcohol. Let it do its job. And check for acetaminophen overlap with any other medications.

Frequently Asked

Questions, answered.

How is this different from the brand name on the same shelf?

The generic products we carry contain the same FDA-approved active ingredient, in the same dosage form, at the same strength as the brand-name product. The FDA requires generic medicines to meet bioequivalence standards before approval. The main difference customers notice is the price, not the medicine.

How soon will my order ship?

Orders ship within 1 to 2 business days from our pharmacy in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. You will receive a tracking number once your package leaves the pharmacy. Free shipping on orders over $50.

What is your return policy if it doesn't work for me?

Unopened products in their original sealed packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund. For safety reasons, opened medications are not returnable. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 7 days and we will make it right.

Can I take this with my prescription medications?

Some OTC products interact with common prescriptions. We strongly recommend a free pharmacist consultation before ordering if you take blood pressure medication, blood thinners, thyroid medication, antidepressants, or other prescriptions. Call 601-544-4871 or use the Ask the Pharmacist form on the site.

Is this safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Some OTC products are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Before ordering, please request a free pharmacist consultation. A pharmacist can confirm whether this product is appropriate for your situation.

One product is good. The kit is the protocol.

Dr. Mike doesn't hand patients single products. He hands them protocols. The Complete Cold & Flu Kit is the full version of what most people need. And it skips the $50 minimum.
