If you take metformin and nobody has checked your B12 recently, this is the most important page you'll read today.
Metformin is one of the most effective medications in the world, and it is clinically proven to block Vitamin B12 absorption in your gut. Between 10 and 30 percent of long term metformin users have deficiency levels associated with nerve damage, fatigue, and cognitive decline. The damage often builds silently for months or years before symptoms appear. The American Diabetes Association added B12 monitoring guidance to their Standards of Medical Care in 2017. Almost no one is following it.

Metformin blocks calcium dependent B12 absorption receptors in the ileum. Dose dependent. Cumulative. The mechanism is documented and almost universally unaddressed. Standard cyanocobalamin at 500mcg is sub clinical for this purpose. Clinical protocols for metformin induced B12 deficiency require 1000 to 2000mcg of methylcobalamin, which is immediately bioavailable with no hepatic conversion required. Patients with metformin related absorption issues don't always convert cyanocobalamin efficiently.
Metformin and diabetes together create progressive magnesium depletion through increased urinary excretion. Primary symptom: nocturnal leg cramps that wake patients from sleep and drive treatment discontinuation. Magnesium oxide (the cheap retail form) is 4 percent bioavailable with frequent GI distress. Magnesium glycinate is 80 percent absorbed with no GI side effects. Same mineral name, completely different outcome. Methylfolate addresses the secondary depletion of folate that elevates homocysteine and compounds the cardiovascular risk already elevated in diabetic patients.

The ADA put B12 monitoring in their Standards of Care in 2017. Tens of millions are on metformin. And I still see patient after patient, years into therapy, who has never had their B12 checked, never been told about the connection, and is developing neurological symptoms attributed to diabetes when the real cause is the medication. It's not complicated medicine. It's straightforward supplementation based on well understood biochemistry. Start this pack the day you start metformin. If you've been on it for years, start today. It's never too late to protect your nerves.

Questions, answered.
What's the money back guarantee on this pack?
90 day money back guarantee on every pack. No forms, no hassle, no restocking fee. If the pack doesn't deliver the symptom relief or protection promised, call for a refund. Dr. Mike's personal commitment.
Will these supplements interact with my prescriptions?
Each pack includes a pharmacist consultation that screens your complete medication list before confirming the protocol. Some packs (Blood Pressure, Type 2 Diabetes) require mandatory consultation because dosing varies by medication class. Dr. Mike coordinates with your physician on request.
Does this pack replace my prescription medication?
No. This pack supports your prescription. It does not replace it. Never stop or adjust your prescription without your physician's approval. The pack addresses the nutritional consequences of how your medication works, so you can stay on the medication that's managing your condition.
How soon will I notice results?
Timeline varies by pack. Statin muscle pain typically resolves within 2 to 4 weeks of starting CoQ10. Leg cramps from BP medications or metformin typically resolve within 7 to 14 days of starting magnesium glycinate. B12 deficiency tingling takes 2 to 4 months. Antibiotic recovery protection begins on day 1. Each pack's protocol card explains expected timing.
How does the monthly pharmacist check in work?
Each subscription includes monthly check ins with Dr. Mike or a Fairview clinical pharmacist. Conducted by phone or in store, 10 to 20 minutes. Covers symptom tracking, dose adjustment, lab review coordination with your doctor, and any new symptoms that may be medication or supplement related. Free with subscription.
Are these pharmaceutical grade supplements?
Yes. Dr. Mike specifies USP verified or NSF certified supplements throughout. Pharmaceutical grade certification means what's on the label is what's in the bottle. The FDA does not require supplement manufacturers to prove potency or purity before sale. This pack is built on the form, dose, and purity used in the clinical trials that demonstrated efficacy.
