My dose in mg, mL, and syringe markYour pharmacist or doctor fills this in.
The one rule
- Units measure syringe volume, not milligrams of medicine.
- Never copy a unit dose from another vial or concentration.
- The pharmacist writes my exact syringe mark.
With every new vial
- Have the concentration and syringe checked first.
- The same mg dose may need a different volume.
- Compare the label to my last fill.
Never do this
- Never reuse or share a syringe.
- Never repeat a dose after vomiting.
- Never dose more often than weekly or increase faster than prescribed.
- Never use a product I cannot verify.
Call the pharmacy if
- The label, concentration, syringe, or directions differ from last time.
- Particles, cloudiness, color change, leaks, or broken seals.
- The vial arrived warm. Do not guess.
Emergency. Call 911
- Trouble breathing, face or throat swelling, fainting, or seizure.
- Suspected large overdose. Also call Poison Control 1-800-222-1222.
- Severe steady belly pain, severe dehydration, or vomiting that will not stop.
- Keep the vial, syringe, and label available.
Remember
- This is not an FDA approved drug or generic.
- Follow the dispensing label for storage.
- Do not use past the beyond use date.
