How much water should I use?
Take oral doses with a full glass of water. This helps reduce irritation of the swallowing tube.
Can I take it with food or milk?
Often yes if it upsets your stomach, but some products have different food instructions. Check your exact bottle with the pharmacist.
Can I take my vitamins at the same time?
Iron, calcium-containing products and some antacids can interfere with absorption. Ask for a spacing plan for your specific products.

Are all doxycycline products interchangeable?

What if I miss a dose?
Take it when remembered unless the next dose is almost due, then skip it. Do not double. For an infection, follow the prescribed course unless your clinician changes it. Doxycycline does not treat viral colds or flu. MedlinePlus
What precautions matter outdoors?

Report painful swallowing, severe or persistent headache with vision changes, or severe or bloody diarrhea promptly. Trouble breathing or face/throat swelling needs emergency care.
