What does it treat?
Valsartan is an ARB used for high blood pressure and certain heart conditions. Your reason for treatment affects your schedule.
Can I take it with food?
Tablets may be taken with or without food. Follow the times on your prescription label.
Is valsartan the same as Entresto?
No. Entresto contains both sacubitril and valsartan. Do not substitute it for plain valsartan or take both without your prescriber checking the plan.

Can I use potassium or a salt substitute?
Check first. Potassium supplements, potassium-containing salt substitutes and some other medicines can raise potassium too much. What if I miss a dose?

What symptoms or medicines should I discuss?
Report faintness, vomiting or diarrhea that could leave you dehydrated. Ask before using ibuprofen, naproxen, lithium or other blood-pressure medicines.
