What does it do?
Pantoprazole lowers stomach acid. It is prescribed for acid-related damage to the esophagus and certain conditions that produce too much acid.
Does it need an empty stomach?
Delayed-release tablets can be taken with or without food. Granules are taken about 30 minutes before a meal. Follow your product's directions.
Can I crush it?
No. Swallow tablets whole. Granules also must not be chewed or crushed; ask your pharmacist to demonstrate the packet instructions.

How do I take the granules?

What if I miss a dose?

Contact your clinician promptly for persistent watery diarrhea, changes in urination, or an irregular heartbeat. Trouble breathing, throat swelling, or a severe blistering rash needs emergency care.
